What Is De-Shedding?
It's not a haircut. It's getting the dead undercoat out.
Double-coated dogs — Huskies, Goldens, Shepherds, Labs — grow a soft, woolly undercoat beneath their outer fur. That undercoat constantly dies off, but instead of falling free it stays trapped under the topcoat until it works loose on your couch, your car, and your clothes.
A brush at home only skims the surface. De-shedding releases the anchored undercoat with a purpose-made shampoo, then blasts it out with a high-velocity dryer — pulling out handfuls of dead fur that would otherwise shed over the next month. No shaving, ever: a double coat protects your dog from heat and sun.

Pre-Bath Brush-Out
We loosen surface shed and detangle the topcoat before water touches the dog. This stops dead fur from clumping and lets the shampoo reach the undercoat.

De-Shedding Shampoo & Deep Soak
A professional-grade de-shedding formula opens the hair follicle and releases anchored undercoat. We let it dwell long enough to actually work.

High-Velocity Blow-Out in Van
This is where the magic happens. A forced-air dryer blasts loose undercoat out of the coat at the source — inside the van, not your home.

Final Brush & Inspect
A finishing brush removes any remaining loose fur and gives us a chance to check for skin irritation, hot spots, or anything worth mentioning to you.

Most dogs are done in 60–90 minutes. Large double-coated breeds like Huskies or Malamutes can take up to two hours. We don't rush it — the blow-out stage needs time to be effective.
Every 4–6 weeks during heavy shedding seasons (spring and fall), and every 6–8 weeks otherwise. Regular treatments compound — each session gets easier and the results last longer.
No. The shampoo is gentle and the blow-dryer is warm, not hot. Some dogs are initially startled by the noise but relax quickly. We work at the dog's pace.
De-shedding is designed for double-coated breeds. Single-coat dogs like Poodles, Shih Tzus, or Bichons don't have the undercoat that accumulates — a standard wash works better for them.
