Water, weather, tipping, cages, and what $55–95 actually covers.
Price
What it costs
$55–95, set by your dog's size and nothing else. Small under 20 lbs is $55, and it steps up from there. The full ladder is published on the pricing page — there is no quote form and no "it depends on the coat" conversation at your door.
Per visit, usually yes — a basic salon bath runs $25–45. But that price does not include your drive there, the wait, the drive back, or the fact that your dog sat in a cage between the bath and the dryer. Against a full mobile groom at $95–155, we are considerably cheaper, because we do not cut hair.
No travel fee, no fuel surcharge, no neighborhood surcharge, no weekend or evening premium. Add-ons like a flea bath or teeth brushing are priced individually and always shown before you confirm. What the booking screen says is what you pay.
A genuinely filthy dog is just a dog that needs washing, and that is the job. Matting is different — mats cannot be washed out, and water tightens them. If your dog is significantly matted we will tell you before booking that they need a groomer with clippers first.
Each dog is priced by their own size, and we are already at your house for the second one. First-time customers get $10 off. Regular standing slots are arranged after your first wash.
The visit
How it actually works
Yes. The van carries its own fresh water in an on-board tank and heats it on board. We do not connect to your spigot, we do not use your hot water, and we do not plug into your power. Nothing of yours gets used.
Into a sealed grey-water tank in the van, and out at a proper disposal point later. It does not go into your storm drain, your garden, or down your driveway — which matters legally in California and matters to your neighbors.
Your driveway is ideal. The curb directly outside works just as well. We need roughly one parking space and about 10 feet of clear width to open up and work safely. If you are in an apartment or condo, a visitor space or loading zone near your unit is plenty.
Not for the whole visit. We need access to your dog and somewhere to park. Plenty of customers say hello, hand over the dog, and go back to work. You will get a text when we arrive and when we are done.
About 45 minutes for most dogs. Very large or very thick-coated dogs can run to an hour or a little more, particularly if there is a heavy de-shed involved. You get a text with our ETA rather than a four-hour arrival window.
The wash happens inside the van, so weather does not stop us. Heavy storms occasionally make setup and parking genuinely unsafe, and in that case we will call you and move the appointment — at no charge.
Your dog
About your dog
Three things. Your dog is never crated — at a chain shop, dogs typically wait in a cage before and after. Your dog is never around other dogs. And your dog never rides in a car, which for a lot of dogs is the most stressful part of the whole day. The wash itself takes 45 minutes rather than a half-day drop-off.
Often yes, and it is one of the main reasons people call us. One dog at a time, on their own driveway, with no other dogs, no cages, and no car ride removes most of what makes grooming frightening. We have a dedicated page about senior, anxious and reactive dogs worth reading first.
No. The van has ramp entry, so no one lifts your dog — they walk in. This is the single most common reason large-breed and senior-dog owners switch to mobile.
Yes, once they have had their initial vaccinations. A puppy's first bath sets the tone for every bath after it, so we go slowly, keep it short, and use treats. It is worth doing properly.
No. We are wash-only — bath, brush-out, de-shed, nails, ears, dry. If your dog needs a haircut we will say so and point you to a groomer. That honesty is the whole point of the business.
Booking
Booking and payment
About 6 hours is the minimum, because a mobile visit has to be fitted into a driving route. Same-day is often available if you book in the morning, and evenings and weekends run at the same price as any other slot.
It is genuinely appreciated but never expected, and there is no tip prompt built into the booking flow. The published price is the whole price. If you would rather do something free, a Google review is worth more to a new business than a tip.
Card at the end of the visit, or through the booking confirmation. Nothing is charged up front, and you are not asked for a deposit to hold a slot.
Cancel or move your appointment any time up to the morning of, at no cost. Late cancellations are only a problem when they are a pattern — a one-off is fine, life happens.
