We collected the published prices of 309 local grooming businesses — every one we could find. 178 publish real numbers. Here they all are.
Surveyed as of September 2026, and refreshed roughly quarterly. Prices move, so we recheck the list rather than let it go stale.
Short answer: a mobile bath for a small dog runs a median of $85 across the Bay Area. A mobile full groom with a haircut medians $120. And 42% of groomers won't tell you their price until you call.
We surveyed every dog grooming business we could find operating in the Bay Area: websites, booking widgets, Yelp menus, even archived copies of pages that have since been taken down. 42% publish no price at all — “call for a quote” is the industry default. The medians below come from the 178 that do publish, so you can walk into any quote conversation knowing what the market actually charges.
Every number is an advertised starting price, as of September 2026. Coat condition, matting, and behavior can move a real quote up from these.

“Salon / shop” includes self-serve wash stations, which is why that column starts near $10 — that price buys you a tub, not a service.
The haircut is worth roughly $30–60 over a bath at every size. If your dog's coat doesn't get cut — most short and double-coated breeds — a bath service covers everything a groom does except the scissors.
Only cities with at least four priced businesses shown. Peninsula cities (San Mateo, Foster City) run visibly higher than the South Bay for the same service.
A $25 nail trim is the market's highest-margin five minutes. Ours is included in every wash at no extra charge — worth checking what any quote already covers before adding extras.

We charge $75–155 for a mobile wash-and-tidy, flat by size, published for anyone to see on our pricing page. Against the survey, that lands under the mobile median at every size — because we don't do haircuts, we don't carry a stylist's overhead. Bath, brush-out, ear cleaning, blow dry, de-shed, and nail trim or grind, at your door.

I run Bay Area Mobile Dog Wash myself — I’m the one who shows up at your door. Every visit is one dog at a time in the van at your curb: warm water, a full brush-out and a proper dry, with no salon drive and no cage waiting. The van is open to you the whole time — stand at the door and watch every minute if you like. Big dogs, heavy shedders and nervous seniors are the reason this service exists.

She can be a little difficult and anxious during grooming, but Ace was incredibly calm and patient, which really helped keep her calm and comfortable too. Ace was punctual & accommodating. He was friendly & outgoing not only me & my husband but toward the dogs as well, calling them by name on our very first booking. Dogs came home clean & unstressed which is never the case when they’re washed at the groomer’s shop, around other dogs. Highly recommend.
We booked Bay Area Mobile Dog Wash for our 90-lb German Shepherd, Koda, who hates the groomer. Ace parked the van right in our driveway in Willow Glen, walked her up the ramp himself — no lifting, no cage, no other dogs — and I watched the whole wash from my doorstep. Bath, nails, ears, and she came back inside dry and calm. Flat $95 exactly as the website said, no surprise charges. We've already booked next month. 😊❤️
I’ve tried multiple other mobile dog washes in the area, and Bay Area Mobile Dog Wash has stood out by far! They did an amazing job with Chloe, treated her so well, and she came out looking absolutely beautiful. You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs and take pride in what they do. Ace did a great job with our little old chihuahua mix. Our appointment was for the evening and he came prepared with warm water, and made our sure our dog was comfortable the entire time. Don't let the lack of reviews on yelp scare you away, his prices are good, and he takes time to ensure that good work is done.

He did such an amazing job with my dog! He came out looking so nice, clean, and well-groomed, but what stood out to me most was how happy and comfortable he seemed afterward. You can really tell he was treated with care throughout the entire process. I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend him!
Ace came and gave my dog a much needed Pawdicure on my little Yorkie. He used the nail filer/buffer. I was very happy to see there was no clippers used.He was very professional and gentle with my girl. She usually hates her paws touched, but she was very calm with Ace. He has a great set up for his mobile grooming unit and I was able to stand van side and watch without getting in the way. We need to support small businesses and professional business owners. I will definitely recommend and rebook with Ace again!
Overall, we had a very positive experience with our first mobile grooming appointment. Although he arrived a little late due to a minor scheduling miscommunication, Ace was very kind, communicative, and especially patient with our dog, who can be anxious about grooming. He took the time to help him feel comfortable, completed the grooming efficiently, and our dog seemed happy and in great spirits afterward. We really appreciated his gentle approach and care!

SUCH a great - and easy! - experience! Asa was immediately responsive (I love when businesses actually answer their phone!), worked Moose in within 24 hours, was communicative throughout, bought unscented products specifically for us, did a great job with my 12 year old doodle … all in all: amazing service!

Ace was great with my 3 small dogs. They got washed and towel dried, their ears checked, their nails trimmed. One star off because he trimmed one nail too far and it bled for a long time, plus distressed my already anxious dog. Important to know that this service isn't van-based (yet). Ace brings a portable wash station to set up outside. He brings his own water and supplies. He doesn't do any hair cuts, just basic wash and towel dry. I'll call him again in the future!
